Sumalatha Ambarish came to the media on the demand made by fans and media persons. Before that Dr Ambarish nephew Madan stated that he has spoken to Dr Ambarish five minutes back and he is improving.

The media and fans were not happy with it. They demanded Sumalatha to come address. On the advice of Dr Satish of Vikram Hospital Madan went inside and after five minutes Sumalatha came and addressed the media.

Dr Satish Pulmonologist made a clean and tidy address on the health condition of Dr Ambarish later on.

Dr Ambarish took the right decision of coming on Friday night. It was possible for us to give treatment to lung infection and other ailments. As the breathing problem was not good in the early morning we put him on ventilator. That is not dangerous. Ventilator is given for a person to breath properly and sedation given to him was because we want to set right other infection in the lungs, kidney treatment etc.

Dr Ambarish has no BP and the team of doctors here were aware of his medical records.  In next 24 hours we will take a decision on reducing the ventilator. We cannot immediately tell how fast he could be put to ward. He is given some proteins and food given is in liquid form.

Over all he is stable. We have 10 patients in ICU and five are on ventilators that include Dr Ambarish. He is conscious.

The sleeptamia was his problem and Vikram hospital was aware of it. This is because of overweight. The breathlessness in the night will be more, one would not get sleep – it is not a big issue at all. We have used certain devices to clear it stated Dr Satish.
